We are settled into our new place and still trying to close the doors on the old place. Various odds and ends remain that we are still sorting through in between horrific allergic attacks from whatever is in that horrid place that wants to kill us.
It's probably mold in the vents or something, but who knows. Anyway, most of our stuff is at the new place and FINALLY we have "intarweb" (as Dave likes to call it when he's feeling sarcastic) and I can communicate with the known world again.
So the new place rocks and we have a beautiful place to live. It is much easier to keep clean and doesn't have 6 children living next door who love to scream with another one on the way. (You'd think she'd stop having sex after the 6th one, wouldn't you??????)
At any rate, we moved much like Jenn said she has done many a time, and that was with a cattle trailer. I had visions of feeling like a complete redneck while doing so, but the trailer was actually very clean and worked quite nicely for moving our stuff. Dad helped with most of the hauling, along with a friend of his and we gifted a very nice solid cherry dressing table to his friend for his friend's daughter as a thank for his help. I'm glad it will be going to a good home.
COOL STUFF ALERT!

I found that while browsing a funny blog and thought those aprons were just too cute not to share. I thought Laura would love the brown and white polka dot one with turquoise paisley, but that would require her actually LOOKING at my blog. >.>.
In other news......Christy should be contacting ya'll shortly with an update on Nate. For those not in the know, Nate is her second child, youngest, and cute as a button when he speaks French. :D He's been having some rather traumatic medical issues and they will be coming here to the states to have some of them checked out. The details should really come from her, so I'll leave it at that.
Since the move has really screwed up on my on-time birthday cards, I'll have to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!" here so it gets to him before the 8th. :) Sorry kiddo, I DO have a card for you, but it's buried in one of the rooms I have yet to clear out yet. Hope you have a great birthday.
I think that's about it from the Midwestern front.....GO VOTE! :D

Yay for the move -and away from the horrid allergies...
and OMG - those aprons are awesome!
Totally have to keep those in mind for gifts..
I hope your nephew is ok. Kids shouldn't be allowed to be sick, I think that's a huge flaw in Gods plan. :D
<3 later
Jacob says "Thanks!!' - no card needed. I don't think he even knows what a birthday is yet - other than he'll get some cake and get to play with wrapping paper and packaging :D
Are you surviving the floods? Did it get you guys at all? The news said there were a lot of people without power.
