Update #2

Well, my mom is back home now, and apparently doing much better, although she keeps her walking time (with a walker) down to a bare minimum.

Apparently I also had the artificial bone stuff wrong -- it's not plastic, it's a ceramic and metal combination. Same same to me -- it's fake bone! LOL

The doctor and insurance company felt she was recovering too well to be put in the assisted living place. I don't know if this will end up being good or bad, as classes start on Monday for my dad.

I haven't talked to her for a couple days, but last I heard their friends were bringing so much food they didn't need to cook for quite some time, so for now, at least, things seem to be well in hand. I told them to call if they needed any help, etc.

Nobody asked for the hospital info, so I'm guessing cards, etc. weren't a big priority for anyone. If you need their home address, though, just email me.
